Autumn 2

Celebrations

In Autumn 2, we were learning all about different celebrations. These celebrations included Bonfire night, Diwali, Birthday's and Christmas. The children loved finding out about how different people and different cultures celebrate different events around the world.

Maths

In maths we have been learning about:

- Circle and Triangles

- 1,2,3,4,5

- Shapes with 4 sides

Phonics

 

In phonics we have been learning the following

sounds:

d, e, f, v, k, l, r, u, j, w, z

PE/Commando Joe

PE:

In PE we have been continuing to explore different celebrations. We have been moving like fireworks, learning a Diwali style dance and moving in ways linked to Christmas.

Commando Joe:

Commando Joe is a great way for the children to work as a team to solve different problems. To do this the children work together and use different resources to move themselves.

We have been looking at ways of 'crossing the river' using lots of different resources such as benches, netting, and lots more exciting equipment.
